New Year, Volunteer with us!
New Years Resolutions? Volunteer
How can you make 2020 better than 2019?
Do you want to learn a new skill? Maybe become more active or meet new people?
Are you looking for some experience to add to your CV or supplement your studies, maybe you just want to help people in your community have their say on health and social care?
Community Listener
Many Healthwatch volunteers spend time in the community finding out what people think of local services so that Healthwatch can raise any concerns with service providers. Our volunteers play a vital role speaking to local people about their experiences and giving them a platform to share their views and ideas for how services can improve.
Help raise awareness of Healthwatch (Healthwatch Ambassador)
As a Healthwatch Ambassador, you could be attending community events to raise awareness of your local Healthwatch and encouraging people to share their feedback on health and social care in their community or you could be giving talks to community groups about Healthwatch and the difference we can make to services.
Develop your professional skills
Healthwatch Lincolnshire often look for volunteers to help them with design, marketing and communications work. This is a great way of developing your skills while helping ensure that people are able to shape the health and social care services they use.
Volunteer from home
Healthwatch Lincolnshire has opportunities for all. If you would prefer to volunteer from home you could be part of our reader panel. This is an important role reading health literature from Healthwatch and local health partner organisations or researching which health and social care services and issues are making the news nationally and locally.
Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do.
We all want the best health and care services we can get. Healthwatch has the role to listen and the power to significantly influence change, as the independent public voice on health and social care in Lincolnshire. Volunteers help us to make this happen with their skills, enthusiasm, time and dedication. With a range of opportunities and flexible time commitment, there are lots of ways to get involved.
Volunteers play a vital role in helping people have their say on health and social care. Volunteering with Healthwatch Lincolnshire can help you develop skills, gain experience and make a difference to your community.
