Diabetes Awareness Month - November 2019
Diabetes Awareness Month - November 2019
The NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme is marking Diabetes Awareness Month by raising awareness of the services available to patients and healthcare professionals to improve diabetes treatment and care.
Activities include a social media campaign called #LetsChatDiabetes to encourage people living with diabetes and healthcare professionals to share a post, image or video on Twitter around several themes. The themes include tips for living well with diabetes (11 to 17 November), suggestions for learning about diabetes (18 to 24 November), and thoughts on current and future treatment and care of diabetes (25 to 30 November).

A series of blogs about diabetes are also being featured during the month, starting with one by Olivia Clark-Young who has Type 1 diabetes and uses an NHS-funded flash glucose monitor.
