Sense of Self Art Exhibition invite
As part of her Masters Degree Liz has been working with June, a lady who is living with dementia and with the support of her daughter Ros, gathering information about her life and how this can help promote her sense of self after memory loss.
The exhibition documents June’s life through her art, personal objects, photography, along with Liz's own work in glass, to bring June's experiences to life.
The focus is to highlight the issues of losing your identity, becoming dehumanised after dementia diagnosis and to change people's perception, so they look past the condition and see the person as an individual.
Everyone who is living with dementia, carers or interested in the condition and how the creative process can help improve quality of life, is more than welcome at the Private View.
