Healthwatch Lincolnshire Annual Report 2023/2024: The value of listening
Highlights from our year
2,328 people shared their experiences of health and social care with us, directly helping to raise awareness of issues and improve care
4,555 people came to us for advice and information about topics such as mental health and the cost-of-living crisis
The 36 people who volunteer with us spent 1,668.5 hours making caring better for our community.
Impact from the 2022/23 period includes:
Changes to NHS dentist contracts after our data showed widening inequalities in dental care
Laying bare the impact of the soaring cost of living on healthcare
Supporting Healthwatch England’s work on GP referrals, drawing attention to the “hidden waiting list” created by delays
Supporting national work on maternal mental health that led to updated guidance for GPs on six-week postnatal checks
Encouraging more people to share their experiences through our Because We All Care campaign
Launching our series of deep dive campaign with our menstrual health work and supporting the ICB’s women’s health strategy.
Together we can give a stronger voice to the residents of Lincolnshire in relation to what matters to you about your health and social care services. Please keep sharing your experiences and stories with us. Finally, we would like to thank everyone who has supported our work this past year including our amazing staff and volunteers.
