NHS to launch engagement exercise on health and wellbeing services in Stamford
In 2021, the then NHS Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), now replaced by NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), agreed to review and evaluate the long-term shape of health services in Stamford and surrounding areas in light of significant projected population growth in the area.
Fast forward three years and the work undertaken previously by the CCG with local stakeholders and Stamford communities is something the ICB wants to engage local people on.
“This is about ensuring local health services are fit for the future and our planned engagement is specifically focused on working with local people and stakeholders to understand the possible impact on health and wellbeing services as the local population grows,” says Pete Burnett, Director of Strategic Planning, Integration and Partnerships, NHS Lincolnshire ICB.
“There are no plans to reduce or alter services in the area as a result of our planned engagement. Instead, our focus is purely on understanding the needs of local people so that future services are informed by those at the heart of the local community.”
Given the anticipated growth in both population and housing over the coming years, the ICB wants to hear from local people what they think about local health and care services now, as well as what they think the impact of population growth will be on these services.
“We will be visiting local areas and community groups in the coming months to gather views and the findings will be shared with the ICB’s Board to consider in future planning, and we’ll be making a report on the findings publicly available,” adds Pete.
Part of the engagement is a survey, which local people are invited to complete – it is available here Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management and is open as of Monday 25th November and will run until Friday 31st January 2025.
