Testing for Coronavirus
Testing is mainly being delivered in Lincolnshire through the national testing programme. Anyone who has symptoms of Covid-19 can book a test in one of the test centres through an online booking system or ask for a test kit to be delivered at home.
In Lincolnshire, there is one static testing site in Lincolnshire Showground and mobile sites in across the county in Lincoln, Boston, Grantham, Spalding, Skegness and Gainsborough. The mobile sites are stood up based on need. Besides, these sites, testing is also carried out in hospitals, primarily for its patients and some healthcare staff.
A care home can request for testing kit through an online portal system.
Anyone who has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) can ask for a free test to check if they have the virus. This is called an antigen test.
There is another type of test (antibody test) that checks if you've already had the virus. This test is not widely available yet. You can find out about antibody testing on GOV.UK.
