New patient scheme launched at community hospitals
With the Coronavirus pandemic causing patient visiting to be temporarily suspended across Lincolnshire, a new service has been launched to help patients stay in touch with family and friends while they are in hospital.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) has introduced ‘Contact your loved ones’ as a new way of helping people to get a message to friends and family while they are being cared for in LCHS’ community hospitals.
LCHS staff will deliver and even read letters and messages to patients, as well as show them any photos that are sent.
Simply email lhnt.ContactYourLovedOnes-LCHS@nhs.net and our staff will do the rest to help you keep in touch with the ones you love.
Please include their full name (with middle initial if applicable) of your loved one, their postcode, year of birth and the name of the ward where they are staying, along with the message or letter you would like them to receive.
This service is available at John Coupland Hospital in Gainsborough, County Hospital in Louth, Skegness Hospital and Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding.
