Short Breaks Services in Lincolnshire

The County Council provides short breaks services in Lincolnshire for people with social care needs. Sometimes known as respite care, these are short term, overnight stays on a planned or emergency basis usually in a care home or residential setting

These services provide short breaks for older people, for people with physical and sensory impairments, people with mental ill health, autism or learning disability. They enable the family carer to take a break from their caring role and give the person they care for the benefits of time spent in a different environment in the company of other people.

The County Council is undertaking an engagement exercise to hear the views of people who use these services and family carers. The feedback we receive will help shape the services and ensure our contracts cover all the important issues.

This engagement exercise runs until 9th May 2019.
